Welcome to Waypoint, a warm and supportive therapy service offering help with anxiety, overthinking, trauma and emotional wellbeing in Hopton-on-Sea and online across the UK.
How I can help
Life can sometimes feel emotionally overwhelming, leaving us stuck in patterns of anxiety, overthinking, stress or self-doubt. You may be looking for support to better understand yourself, work through difficult experiences, improve relationships, or simply create more balance and calm in your life.
I offer a warm, supportive space where we can explore what’s been affecting you at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable. My approach combines talking therapy, NLP and eye movement-based techniques, tailored to you as an individual.
Many of my clients are caring, capable people who support others easily, but struggle to show themselves that same compassion. Together we can work to understand emotional patterns, limiting beliefs and past experiences that may still be impacting how you think, feel and respond today.
Therapy can help create greater self-awareness, emotional resilience and a stronger connection with yourself and others.
I support people with difficulties including anxiety, trauma, stress, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, grief, relationship difficulties and life transitions.
What Therapy with me is like
Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’re used to coping alone or unsure where to begin. Sessions with me are warm, supportive and tailored to you as an individual.
Some sessions may focus on talking through what’s happening in your life, while others may explore deeper emotional patterns, beliefs or past experiences that continue to affect you. Together we work at a pace that feels comfortable, helping you better understand yourself and move forward in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.
There is no pressure to have the “right” words or to share more than you feel ready to. Therapy is a collaborative process where you are met with compassion, curiosity and understanding.

About Me
Hello, I’m Kirstie,
I understand how difficult life can sometimes feel when anxiety, overthinking, emotional overwhelm or past experiences begin affecting how we think, feel and relate to ourselves or others. I also understand how daunting it can feel to reach out for support, especially when you’re used to trying to manage things alone.
Creating a warm, supportive and human space where people feel heard and understood is at the heart of my work.
I have worked within mental health and wellbeing services since 2014, supporting people through a wide range of emotional and life challenges. My background includes wellbeing support, social prescribing and mental health-focused employability services. I hold a First-Class Psychology degree and am trained in NLP, Eye Movement Integration and generative trance.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative and tailored to the individual. I believe therapy should feel safe enough for meaningful change to happen at your own pace.
1.
NLP
Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) helps us understand the patterns behind how we think, feel and respond to life experiences. Exploring these patterns can support positive change, helping people feel calmer, more confident, more emotionally connected and less stuck in unhelpful ways of thinking or responding.
2.
EMN
Eye Movement Neurointegration (EMN) is a gentle eye movement-based approach that can help people work through limiting beliefs, emotional patterns and difficult experiences that may still be affecting them today. By helping the brain process these experiences differently, EMN can support emotional relief, greater self-understanding and lasting positive change.
3.
Emotional Wellbeing
Emotional wellbeing is about understanding yourself, managing life’s challenges and feeling more balanced emotionally. Therapy can help create greater self-awareness, emotional resilience and healthier ways of coping with stress, anxiety, relationships and difficult experiences. Together we can explore what may be affecting your wellbeing and support positive, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
4.
Limiting Beliefs
Our beliefs—both empowering and limiting—are shaped by how we interpret life’s experiences. Sometimes they help us grow, and other times they hold us back. Limiting beliefs often develop through childhood experiences, trauma or difficult life events and are usually formed with the intention of keeping us safe.
If those beliefs are no longer serving you, NLP and eye movement-based approaches can help explore the patterns behind them and support healthier, more compassionate ways of thinking, feeling and responding—helping you move forward with greater confidence, understanding and emotional freedom.
