FAQ's

What happens in the first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. There is no pressure to share everything straight away or have the “right” words. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you and begin discussing what support may be most helpful moving forward.

Do I need to know exactly what’s wrong?

Not at all. Many people come to therapy because they know something doesn't feel right but aren't sure why. Together, we can explore your experiences and make sense of what may be contributing to how you're feeling.

How many sessions will I need?

Everyone's needs are different. Some people find a few sessions helpful, while others prefer longer-term support. We can regularly review how therapy is feeling and decide together what works best for you.

What if I find it difficult to open up?

Many people feel nervous about starting therapy or worry they won’t know what to say. That’s completely okay. Therapy is a collaborative process and there is no expectation to share more than you feel ready to. Sessions are designed to feel supportive, safe and non-judgemental.
