Therapy can be scary It means letting down your walls, being vulnerable, and facing things you may have avoided — and that isn’t easy.
I’ve had clients say:
“What if I can’t be fixed?”
“What if things get worse?”
“What if I uncover something that turns my world upside down and I don’t know what to do next?”
First of all: you are not broken. Life is a work in progress, full of ups and downs. It can be uncomfortable, scary, or just simply shit sometimes. But therapy is about giving you tools to help you live life your way. You don’t need fixing — you need support.
If you aren’t happy with where you are, then what do you have to lose by giving therapy a try?
The right therapist will listen, gently challenge you, and support you in working toward what you want from life. And if you don’t know where to go next, they’re there with you every step of the way — believing in who you can become, even when you don’t quite believe it yourself.
If you’re still unsure, I offer a free 15-minute call where we can talk through your concerns and see whether I’m the right therapist for you
